Where art comes to rest
Having visited several museums and art exhibitions around the world there is no museum that has made such a lasting impact on me as the Chi Chu Art Museum on Naoshima Island. There are countless reasons that have been named for the uniqueness of this art site, but on a personal level it is the merging of art, nature, and architecture that has personally captured me. If I could describe in short what it is that makes this space so one of a kind it is as follows.
It was on a lazy Sunday that I decided to give the Alexander Calder exhibition a chance. A lazy Sunday that turned out to completely shift my perception of sculpture and how it can define a space and the energy of a room.
